first convert L and B

into m

i.e., L = 20.16 m

B = 15.60 m

Area of rectangular courtyard

= L × B

=( 20.16 × 15.60 )

=314.496 m^2

now let the dimension of the the stone (smallest) = 1 × 1

then ,

no. of stones

=(area of courtyard in cm)/(area of stone)

(convert 314.496 m^2 into cm ^2

e.i =314.496 ×100×100

=3144960 cm^2)

= ( 3144960 )/( 1×1 )

= 3144960

hence no. of least stones is 3144960
