A rectangular farm has to be fenced along one long side, one small side and the diagonal. If the cost of finding
is 100 per m, the area of the farm is 1200 m and the short side is 30 m long, how much would be the fencing
cost?
(a) 7000

Answer:

B) 12000 is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

short side (b) is 30m

Area is 1200 square.metres

=>l × b => l × 30 = 1200

=>l = 1200/30 = 40 m

To find diagonal we must use Pythagoras theorem

30 {}^{2}  \:  \ +   \: 40 {}^{2}  \:  =  \: 2500 \\  \sqrt{2500 \: }  =  \: 50

Hence total length to be fenced = 30+40+50 = 120 m

120 × 100 = rupees 12000

Answer:

b)12000 is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

if area of field=1200m

then,its length=1200/30=40m

then ,as per the pythagorean triplet

if length=40m,breadth=30m

then its diagonal=(under root(40*40)+(30*30))

=50m

then the sides are=40+30+50

=120m

then the cost=120*100

=12000
