a rectangular field has a path 5m wide running round it .if the rectangle formed by the path and thd field is 200m×60m ,FIND 1-the area of the path and 2- the cost of constructing the path at Rs15 per m square

1)Area of path=200+10×60+10
=210×70
= 14700 m2
2)cost of constructing=14700÷15
=980Rs

Area of the inner rectangle=200m×60m=12000 square meter.
Area of the outer rectangle= (200+2+2)m×(60+2+2)m
=204m×64m
=13056 square meter.
So,the area of the paths=13056-12000=1056 per square meter.(1)Ans
