Answer:

◽275m

Step-by-step explanation:

let the breadth be b

perimeter of field=92m

2(l+b) =92m

2(25+b). =92m

25+b. =92/2

b. = 46-25

. =21m

hence, breadth is 21m

area of field = (lxb)

= (25x21)

=525m^2

Question :

A rectangular field has a perimeter 92m and its

length is 25m. Find the area of the field.

(A) 640 m²

(B) 20 m²

(C) 525 m²

(D) 65 m²

Solution :

Given :-

  • perimeter of rectangular field = 92m

  • Length = 25m

To find :

  • the area of the field

Formula used :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length+breadth)

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Procedure :

we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length+breadth)

It is given that perimeter of rectangular field is 92m and Length is 25m.

Therefore now we will find breadth :-

⟹ 92= 2 ( 25+b) ..... ( b = breadth)

⟹ 92/2 = 25+ b

⟹ 92/2 = 25+ b

⟹ 46= 25+ b

or

⟹ 25+ b = 46

⟹ b = 46-25

⟹ b = 21 m

breadth = 21m

Now to find out area of rectangular field use the given formula:-

⟹ Area of rectangle = length × breadth

⟹ Area of rectangle = 25 × 21

⟹ Area of rectangle = 525 m²

Answer :

Option ( C) 525 is correct answer.
