A rectangular field has its length and breadth such that length is 3/4th of its breadth. If it's area is equal to 25/3 sq units, then find the length of the rectangular field.

Answer:

Let the breadth be x

Therefore length=3/4x

Area of Rectangle=25/3

Area of Rectangle=L*B

25/3=3/4x*x

25/3=3/4x^2

100/3=3x^2

100=x^2. (on taking 3 on LHS)

Therefore x=√100

x=10
