area of field = area of the road

10 * 8

80 metres square is the area of the road

Another method

let the length of the road be x

area of field = area of the road

10 * 8 = 4x

80 = 4x

80/4 = x

20 = x

thus, we got the length of the road now we can find the area of the road

= 80 metres square

=(10+3+3)×(8+3+3)

=16×14-80
