A rectangular field is 110 m long and 55 m broad. The field has two roads at right angles, one 2.5 m wide, running parallel to its length, and the other 3 m wide, running parallel to its breadth. Find the total area of roads.​

But first let's solve the problem.

We know,

2w(l+b+2w).

2x2.5x3(110+55+2x2.5x3)

15(165+15)

15(180)

2700.

but remember that the road is on only two sides. so, we have to divide it by 2.

2700/2

1350.
