A rectangular field is 15m long and 10m wide. Another rectangular field having the same perimeter has its sides in the ratio 4:1. Find the dimension of the rectangular field.

Perimeter = 2l + 2b
= 2(15) + 2(10)
= 30 + 20
= 50m

another rectangular field with same perimeter,
so, P = 2l + 2b
50 = 2(4x) + 2(1x)
50 = 8x + 2x
10x = 50
X = 50/10
X = 5

Now substituting X value in l = 4x, b = 1x

l = 4(5) = 20m
b = 1(5) = 5m
