a rectangular field is 36m long and 22m wide. it's has two cross roads,one parallel to its length and the other parallel to its width. find the area of cross roads if each 1.5m wide

The area of the road parallel to length = 1.5 × 36
= 54 m^
The area of the road parallel to width
= 1.5 × 22
= 33 m^
Total area of the cross roads = 54+33
= 87m^
