perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)
=2(50+40)
=2(90)
=180
Mahesh goes ten times round it
so the distance covered by mahesh=10×180=1800m

Final answer: Mahesh cover 1800 m distance when he goes ten times around the rectangular field of dimensions 50 m × 40 m.

Given that: We are given,  and Mahesh goes ten times around  a rectangular field dimensions 50 m × 40 m.

To find: We have to find how much distance does Mahesh cover.

Explanation:

  • Shape of the given filed = Rectangle
  • Dimensions of the given rectangular field = 50 m × 40 m

So, length of the given rectangular field = 50 m

Breadth of the given rectangular field = 40 m

  • First we have to calculate the perimeter of the rectangular field.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(length of the field + breadth of the field)

                                                     =2 × (50+40)

                                                     = 2 × 90=180 m

  • Perimeter of the rectangular field = 180 m
  • In one round Mahesh will cover 180 m.

Mahesh goes 10 times around it.

So, in ten round he will cover 10 × 1800 m = 1800 m

  • Mahesh cover 1800 m distance when he goes ten times around the rectangular field of dimensions 50 m × 40 m.
