Answer:

The man cover the rectangular with measure 0.320 km by making five rounds is 24 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Question:-

A rectangular field is 90 m by 70 m . A man walk round it at the rate of 4 km per hour. What time will he take in making 5 rounds ?

Given:-

  • Length of rectangular field=90m
  • Breadth of rectangular field=70m
  • A man walk round it at the rate of 4 km per hour

To find:-

Duration of time will he take in making 5 rounds

Solution:-

According to the question it is given that,

Length of rectangular park=90m

Breadth of rectangular park=70m

So first we have to find the perimeter of the rectangular park (As the man walk around it i.e. walking around the border of rectangular park)

Perimeter of rectangular park =2(length+breadth)

On substituting the values we get,

 = 2(90m + 70m)

\mapsto \: 2(160m)

\mapsto \: 320m

Perimeter of the rectangular park is 320m

Next we have to find the duration of time will he take in making 5 rounds

His speed=

 \frac{4km}{1hour}

converting 1 hour into 60 minutes

\mapsto \:  \frac{4km}{60minutes}

The man will cover 1 km in 15 minutes

Covert the perimeter of rectangular park to km

Perimeter of rectangular park=320m

1000m=1km

320m=

 \frac{320}{1000} km

 \mapsto \: 0.320km

The man walks around the rectangular park about 5 times=5×0.320m

=1.6km

15 minutes×1.6 minutes=24 minutes

Therefore the man cover the rectangular with measure 0.320 km by making five rounds is 24 minutes
