Information provided with us:

  • ➪ A rectangular field is 90 m by 70 m.

  • ➪ A man walks round it at the rate of 4 km per hour.

What we have to calculate

➪ The required time will he take in making 5 rounds

Note :

➪ Distanced covered in one round = Perimeter of the Field

Now

\clubsuit \: \rm \: Perimeter \: of \: the \: Field

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\orange{2 \times (90 + 70) \: m}}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\green{2 \times 160 \: m}}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

   \implies\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\gray{320 \:m}}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

Now

➡ Distance covered in 5 rounds

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\red{Perimeter \: of \: field \times Numbers \: of \: round }}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\orange{320 \: m \times 5}}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\green{1600 \: m}}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

We know that

\clubsuit \: \rm \: 1 \: km \: = 1000 \: m

Now

  • ➡ Convert 1600 m into km by dividing it by 1000

So

 \rm \implies \: 1600 \div 1000

\rm \implies \: 1.6 \: k.m

Now

➡ Time Taken

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\red{ \dfrac{1.6}{4} }}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

  \longrightarrow\bigstar \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\purple{0.4 \: hours }}}\: \: \: \bigstar\\

We also know that

\clubsuit \: \rm  \: 1\: hour \:  </p><p>= 60 \: minutes

Now

➡ Convert 0.4 hours into minutes by multiplying it by 60

So

 \rm \implies \: 0.4\times 60

\bf \implies \: 24 \: minutes

Henceforth

  \rm \therefore \: Thus  \: required\: time\: will \:he \:take \: in \: making \:  5  \: rounds \:  is \:  \bf  \underline{0.4 \: hours \:or \: 24 \: minutes}

Answer:

Thanks for your question...

Your required answer :

Given :

  • Length = 90 m
  • Breadth = 70 m

  • Round = At rate of 4 km / hr
  • Time taking in 5 rounds = ?

To find the rounds we have to find the perimeter of rectangle So :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B )
  • = 2 ( 90 + 70 )
  • = 2 ( 160 )
  • = 320 m

Now distance covered by man in 5 rounds :

  • 5 × ( 320 )
  • 1600 m

Now, converting 1600 m into km :

For changing into metre we have to divide 1600 by 1000 because :

  • 1 m = 1000 km

So :

  • \frac{1600}{1000} \\ \\ 1.6 \: km

Now time taken in 4 hours :

  •  \frac{1.6}{4}
  • 0.4 hours

We have to change hour into minutes So :

  • 1 hours = 60 minutes

  • 0.4 × 60
  • 24 minutes

Therefore , a man require 24 km for making 5 rounds of a rectangular field .
