HERE IS ANSWER

Question -

A rectangular field is of dimension 25 m× 16.4 m. Two paths runs to the parallel to sides of the rectangle through the centre of field. The width of longer path is 1.7 m and shorter is 2m.find area of paths

Now

solution-

Given -

length of field=25m

breadth of field=16.4m

and

breadth of longer path=1.7m

and breadth of shorter path=2m

hence

the length of longer path is 25 m

as it is parrallel to the center and

length of shorter path is 16.4 m.

as it is also parallel to the center.

hence

area of longer path= l*b

= 25*1.7

=42.5m^2

and

area of shorter path=l*b

=16.4*2

=32.8m^2
