a rectangular field is to be fenced on three sides,leaving a side of 20cm uncovered.If the area of the field is 680 meter square,how many meter of fencing is required?

Let the Length be L uncovered side be breath of rectangular field

Then, Breath = 20 m

Given that 

Area of rectangular field = 680 m²

Length × Breath = 680

L × 20 = 680

⇒ L = 34 m

Meters required for fencing = (2×length) + breath

= 2×34 + 20

= 68 +20 

= 88 m
