Find the length and breadth of the flowerbed:

Length = 40 - 5 - 5 = 30 m

Breadth = 25 - 5 - 5 = 15 m

Find the area of the flowerbed:

Area = Length x Breadth

Area = 30 x 15 = 450 m²

Find the area of the rectangular field:

Area = length x breadth

Area = 40 x 25 = 1000 m²

Find the area not covered by the flowerbed:

Area = 1000 - 450 = 550 m²

Answer: The area is 550 m²

Finding the Area of the Rectangle field -

Length = 40 m

Breadth = 25 m

Area = 40 x 25 = 1000 m^2
