A rectangular field measuring 36 m x 24 m is it be surrounded externally by a path which is 25 m wide.
the cost of constructing this path at the rate of 4.5 per m.

=Area of rectangle = L x B

= Area of rectangle = 50 x 36

=Area of rectangle = 1800 m²

=X = 1800 m²

We know that length and breadth increase by 2 m from their both ends.

= L = 50 + 2 + 2 = 54 m.

= B = 36 + 2 + 2 = 40 m.

We know formula of

=Area of rectangle + path = L x B

=Area of rectangle + path

= 54 x 40

Area of rectangle + path

= 2160 m²

X = 2160 m²

Area of path =( Z ) - (X)

Area of path = 2160 - 1800

Area of path = 360 m²

To finding cost of surfing the path

Area x 16 = 360 x 16= Rs 5760

Hence cost of levelling the path is Rs 5760
