A rectangular floor is 10 m long and 3 m wide. A square carpet of sides 4 m is laid on the floor. Find the area of the floor that is not carpeted. Find The Area of the floor not Carpeted.​

area not carpeted = area of floor - area of carpet

= 10*3 m - 4*4m

= 30-16

= 14m²

Breadth=3m

Are of the rectangle=l*b

=10*3

=30 square metre

Asquare carpet of side 4

Area of the square =a*a

=4*4

=16square m

The are of the floor that is not selected= 30-16 square m

=14 square m of floor is left out
