Answer:

Given:-

In rectangular floor, length = 9 m and breadth = 6 m

In each rectangular tile, length = 40 cm and breadth = 10 cm

To Find:-

Total number of tiles needed

Formula used:-

Solution:-

∵ 1 m = 100 cm.

So,

In rectangular floor, 9 m = 900 cm ; 6 m = 600 cm

→ Area of floor

= 900 × 600

= 540000 cm²

→ Area of each tile

= 40 × 10

= 400 cm²

Now,

Number of tiles needed = Area of floor/Area of each tile

=540000/400

=1350

Hence,

1350 tiles are Needed.
