Area of the floor =15m *8m

=1500cm*800cm

=1200000 sq. cm

area of one tile=50*25=750 sq. cm

No. of tiles required=1200000/ 750

=16000

space between each edge=1m

therefore the dimensions of the carpet will be (15-2)*(8-2)

area of carpet=l*b

=13*6

=78 sq.m

area of floor uncovered=120m-78m

=52sq.m
