ANSWER-

Given;

  • Length= 120m
  • Breadth = 90m

Need to find:

  • Distance between A to B=?

Clearly from the figure;

AB is the diagonal of the rectangle.

We know in a rectangle each angle is equal to 90°

Consider right angled triangle ABC

Thus;

 {AB}^{2}  =   {BC}^{2}  +  {AC}^{2}  \\  => {AB}^{2}   =  {90}^{2}  +  {120}^{2}  \\  = >  {AB}^{2}  = 8100 + 14400 \\  = >AB =  \sqrt{8100 + 14400}  \\  = > AB =  \sqrt{22500}  \\  = > AB = 150m

Thus while running from A-B ; the runners cover the distance of 150m

\huge{\red{\boxed{\boxed{Answer=\:150m}}}}
