A rectangular frame of size 100 cm (length) * 120 cm (breadth) is to be surrounded by stickers of 2 cm * 2 cm size. How many stickers would be required for such decoration ?

We know that the Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth

∴ Area of rectangular frame = 100 cm x 120 cm = 12,000 square centimeters

Dimensions of a sticker = 2 cm * 2 cm

Area of sticker = 2 cm x 2 cm = 4 square centimeters

Now , the  number of stickers would be required for such decoration would be

= Area of rectangular frame ÷ Area of sticker

12,000 ÷ 4 = 3,000
