Length of inner rectangle = 40m

Length of outer rectangle = 40+2.5+2.5=45m

Breadth of inner rectangle = 25m

Breadth of outer rectangle = 25+2.5+2.5=30m

Area of outer rectangle = 45*30 = 1350sq.m

Area of inner rectangle = 40*25 = 1000sq.m

Area of path = Area of outer rectangle - Area of inner rectangle

Area of path = 1350 - 1000

Area of path = 350sq. m
