Answer:

Length of rectangular garden =80m

and breadth =40m

Width of crossing path 2.5m

So,

Area of length wise path =80×2.5=200m

2

and

Area of breadth wise path =40×2.5=100m

2

(i) Total area of both paths

=200+100−2.5×2.5m

2

=300−6.25=293.75m

2

(ii) Area of unshaded portion

= Area of garden − Area of paths

=80×40−293.75m

2

=3200−293.75m

2

=2906.25m

Answer:

  1. 293.75
  2. 2906.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Area of Rectangular garden = 80×40 = 3200 sq. metre

Area of cross Paths = 80×2.5 + 40×2.5- 2.5×2.5

= 200 + 100 - 6.25

= 293.75 sq. metre

Area of Unshaded Region = 3200 - 293.75

= 2906.25 sq. metre
