Answer: The area of path is 92m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangular garden = 11 m

Breadth of rectangular garden = 8 m

Now  as 2 m wide path is constructed along the garden

Length of rectangular garden along path = 2+ 11+ 2 = 15m

Breadth of rectangular garden along path = 2+ 8+ 2= 12m

As we know area of rectangle = l x b where l is length and b is breadth

Area of path = Area of rectangle along path - Area of rectangular garden

Area = l_2\times b_2- l_1 \times b_1 = 15 \times 12 - 11\times 8 = 180- 88= 92m^2

Hence, the area of path is 92m²

Path of 2m wide around A rectangular garden of 11 * 8 m  will have Area = 92 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

A rectangular garden has dimensions 11 m * 8m

A path of 2m wide has to be constructed

Total Area including path = (11 + 2 + 2) * ( 8 + 2 + 2)

= 15 * 12

= 180 m²

Area of Garden = 11 * 8  = 88 m²

Area of Path = Total Area - Area of Garden

=> Area of Path = 180 - 88

=> Area of Path = 92 m²
