A rectangular garden is 150m long and 140m wide, it has two roads, each 1m50cm wide, running midway within it, one parallel to the breadth. find the area of the roads and the cost of repairing the roads at Rs 1.20 per square. m

first draw a figure of rectangle name the rectangle ABCD name the two roads P Q R S and e f g h length of rectangle ABCD is equal to 150 metresand breadth of ABCD rectangle is 140 M wide

area of first path that is going to parallel to the breath
area of pqrs is equal to 150 into 1 m 50 cm wide

area of E F G is equal to 140 into 1 m 50 cm

now get the two part of Area and subtract the area from the triangle ABCD and now you will get the answer
