A rectangular garden is 250m in length and 200m in breadth. Find the cost of fencing

it at the rate of ₹ 500 per meter​

Fencing is done at the perimeter so, perimeter of rectangular park=2(l+b)=2(250+200)

⇒2×450=900m

Rate of fencing per meter=Rs. 500

∴ Rate of fencing 1200 m =Rs.500 x 900

=Rs. 450000

To find:-

• cost of fencing ?

Solution:-

• perimeter of rectangle -2(l+b)

=>2(250+200)

=>2(450)

=>900m

Now cost of fencing

=900×500
