Length of Rectangular garden = 40m
Breadth = 32m
Total Area of Garden = L×B
= 40×32= 1280m²
Width of Pathway = 1.5m
Diagonal of Garden = under root (L)²+(B)²
= under root (40)²+(32)²
= under root 1600+1024= 40+32
= ✓72 = 8.48m
Breadth of Pathway = 1.5m
Area of Pathway =L×B = 8.48×1.5m
= 12.72m²
Area of two path = 2×12.72= 25.44m²
Area of the garden Without the pathways = Area of Garden - Area of two path
= 1280-25.44= 1255.56m²
