A rectangular garden is 80m by 50m.A path of width 2m runs immediately inside its boundary. Find the area of the path.

plz help me fast I am doing exam.

Answer: 536 Sq m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular garden=80 x 50= 4000 Sq m

Add 2x2 to both the length and Breadth to include the path.

Area of garden incl path= 84 x 54 =4536 Sq m

Therefore, the area of the path = 4536 - 4000= 536 Sq m
