Given:-

  • A rectangular garden is of length 12\dfrac{2}{3}m and width 8\dfrac{1}{4}m.

To Find:-

  • It's area in square metre.

Formula Used:-

  • {\boxed{\bf{Area\:of\:Rectangle=L\times B}}}

Solution:-

Using,

\bf :\implies\:Area\:of\:Rectangle=L\times B

Here,

  • L = 12\dfrac{2}{3} = \dfrac{38}{3}m

  • B = 8\dfrac{1}{4} = \dfrac{33}{4}m

Putting values,

\sf :\implies\:Area\:of\: Garden=\dfrac{38}{3}\times \dfrac{33}{4}

\sf :\implies\:Area\:of\: Garden=\dfrac{1254}{12}

\sf :\implies\:Area\:of\: Garden=\dfrac{627}{6}

\bf :\implies\:Area\:of\: Garden=\dfrac{209}{2}

or,

\bf :\implies\:Area\:of\: Garden=104.5\:m^2

Hence, The Area of the Garden is 209/2m² or 104.5m².
