A rectangular garden is of length 50m and breadth 30m . A path pf 3.5 cm width is made inside the garden. Find the area of the path.

the length of the garden without path=(50 - 2*0.035) m = 49.93m
the width of the garden without path = (30- 2*0.035) m = 29.93m
the area of the garden= (50*30)m^2 = 1500m^2
the area of the garden without path= (29.93*49*93) m^2 = 1494.4 m^2
hence, the area of the path= (1500-1494.4)m^2 = 5.6 m^2
