Given :

➙ Dimensions of the rectangular garden = 25 × 10

➙ Dimensions of the path = 1 × 1

ToFind :

➙ Area of the path

Solution :

➙ Area of the rectangle ' A '

= Length × Breath

= 25 × 10

= 250m²

\mathtt\orange{New\: dimensions \: formed \: for \: rectangle \: B - }

= \mathtt\red{ length = 25+2 = 27m }

= \mathtt\red{ breath = 10+2 = 12m }

➙ Area of rectangle ' B '

= Length × Breath

= 27 × 12

= 324m²

➙ Area of path :

= Rectangle B - Rectangle A

= 324 - 250

= 74m²

\therefore{\orange{\boxed{\red{\bf{ The \: area \: of \: the \: path \: = \: 74m²}}}}}
