area of the rectangle = 38 m x 25 m = 950 m sq.

length of bigger rectangle = 38 m + 2 x 2.5 m = 38 m + 5 m = 43 m

breadth of bigger rectangle = 25 m + 2 x 2.5 m = 25 m + 5 m = 30 m

area of bigger rectangle = 43 m x 30 m = 1290 m sq.

area of the path = area of bigger rectangle - area of smaller rectangle = 1290 - 950 = 340 m sq.

cost of grieving 1 m sq. = rs. 120

cost of grieving 340 m sq. = rs. 120 x 340 = Rs. 40800
