Given :-

➪ Length of the lawn = 38m

➪ Breadth of the lawn = 25m

➪ Width of path surrounded externally = 2.5m

➪ Cost of gravelling the path = ₹34.50/m²

To find :-

➪ Cost of gravelling the path

Solution :-

➪ Length = 38m

➪ Breadth = 25m

➪ Area = Length × Breadth

➪ Area = 38 × 25 = 950m²

Length of the lawn including the path :-

➪ [38 + (2.5 + 2.5)]m

➪ 43m

Breadth of the lawn including the path :-

➪ [25 + (2.5 + 2.5)]m

➪ 30m

Area of the lawn including the path :-

➪ [43 × 40]

➪ 1290m²

Area of the path :-

➪ (1290 - 950)m²

➪ 340m²

Rate of gravelling :-

➪ ₹34.50/m²

Cost of gravelling the path :-

➪ Area × Rate of gravelling

➪ 340 × 34.50 = 11730

Cost of gravelling the path is ₹11730
