Question :-

  • A rectangular grassy plot is 116m by 68m.it has a gravel path 2.5m around it . Find the area of inner rectangle.

 \\  \\

Given :-

Dimensions of the Outer Rectangle

  • Length = 116m
  • Breadth = 68m
  • Distance between the 2 rectangle ( Thickness) = 2.5m

 \\  \\

To Find :-

  • The Area of the Inner Rectangle .

 \\  \\

Solution :-

Dimensions of Inner Rectangle

  • Length = 116 - 2.5 = 113.5m
  • Breadth = 68 - 2.5 = 65.5m

━━━━━━━━━━━

Area of Inner Rectangle

⇛ Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

⇛ Area of Rectangle = 113.5 × 65.5

⇛ Area of Rectangle = 7434.25m²

━━━━━━━━━━━

∴ The Area of Inner Rectangle is 7434.25m²

━━━━━━━━━━━

Additional Info :-

  • Area of Square = Side x Side
  • Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth
  • Area of Triangle = ½ × base x height
  • Area of parallelogram = base x height
  • Area of circle = πr²
  • Area of Rhombus = ½ × product of its diagonals
  • Area of Trapezium = ½ × height × sum of parallel sides
  • Area of Polygon = sum of the area of all regions into which it is divided

━━━━━━━━━━━

Step-by-step explanation:

Dimensions of the Outer Rectangle

Length = 116m

Breadth = 68m

Distance between the 2 rectangle ( Thickness) = 2.5m

\begin{gathered} \\ \\ \end{gathered}

To Find :-

The Area of the Inner Rectangle .

\begin{gathered} \\ \\ \end{gathered}

Solution :-

★ Dimensions of Inner Rectangle ★

Length = 116 - 2.5 = 113.5m

Breadth = 68 - 2.5 = 65.5m

━━━━━━━━━━━

★ Area of Inner Rectangle ★

⇛ Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

⇛ Area of Rectangle = 113.5 × 65.5

⇛ Area of Rectangle = 7434.25m²

━━━━━━━━━━━

∴ The Area of Inner Rectangle is 7434.25m²

━━━━━━━━━━━

Additional Info :-

Area of Square = Side x Side

Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

Area of Triangle = ½ × base x height

Area of parallelogram = base x height

Area of circle = πr²

Area of Rhombus = ½ × product of its diagonals

Area of Trapezium = ½ × height × sum of parallel sides

Area of Polygon = sum of the area of all regions into which it is divided
