A rectangular grassy plot is 75 m long and 60 m broad. It has a path of width 2 m all around it on the inside. Find the area of the path and the cost of constructing it at ₹ 125 m2.

area of plot = 75*60=4500m^2

length of plot including path = 75+2= 77m
breadth of plot including path= 60+2 = 62m
area of plot including path = 77*62 = 4774 m^2

area of path= area of path including road- area of plot
= 4774-4500
= 274m^2

cost of construction per m^2= ₹125
cost of construction of path = ₹ 125*274
= ₹34250

Area of plot = 75×60=4500m^2

Length of plot including path=75+2=77m

Breadth of plot Including path=60+2=62m

Area of plot including path=77×62=4774m^2

Area of path=Area of path including road-area of plot =4774-4500=274m^2

Cost of constructing per m^2=125rupees

Cost of constructing of path =125×274=34250 rupees
