and FG = (60 – (2 × 2)) = (60 – (4)) = 56 m

Area of the rect. EFGH = (71 × 56) m2 = 3976 m2

Area of the gravel path = ( area ABCD) – (area EFGH)

= (4500 – 3976)

= 524 m2

Hence, cost of constructing the path = ₹ (524 × 125)

= ₹ 65500
