Soln:-

Area of the ground =(120×90)m^2
=10800 m^2

Area of the circular tank =22/7×28×28
=2464 m^2

Remaining area=(10800-2464) m^2
=8336 m^2

Cost of turfing =Rs(8336×15)
=Rs125040

The cost of turfing the remaining portion at the rate of ₹15 per square metre is Rs.125040

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of rectangular ground = 120 m

Breadth of rectangular ground = 90 m

Area of ground =Length \times Breadth = 120 \times 90 =10800 m^2

We are given that In the middle of the ground, there is a circular tank of radius 28 m.

Area of circular tank =\pi r^2 = \frac{22}{7} (28)^2 = 2464 m^2

Area of remaining portion = 10800 sq.m. - 2464 sq.m.=8336 sq.m.

Cost of turfing 1 sq.m. = Rs.15

Cost of turfing 8836 sq.m. =8336 \times 15 = 125040

Hence the cost of turfing the remaining portion at the rate of ₹15 per square metre is Rs.125040
