A rectangular ground 750m long and 450m broad has in the middle of it, roads 5m wide, running at right angles to each other. One road is along the breadth and one is along the length. Find the total area covered by the roads.

TSA = 2 (lb+bh+hl)
= 2 ( 750×450+450×5+5×750)
= 2 (337500+2250+3750)
= 2 (343500)
= 687000 cm^2
