a rectangular ground is 88m long and 60m broad. in the middle of the ground there is a square pool of the side 25m. find the area of ground excluding the pool???​

side of square pool, s = 25m

According to question:

Ar. of square = (side)²

= (25)² = 625m²

Ar. of rectangle = l × b = 88×60 = 5280m²

Then, Ar. of remaining ground is given by:

= Ar. of rectangle - Ar. of square

= 5280 - 625

= 4655m²
