A rectangular ground is 90 m long and 32m broad. In the middle of the ground there is a circular tank of radius 14m. Find the remaining portion at the rate of ₹50 per metre square.

Answer:

Area of rectangular ground = L x B

                                              = 90 x 32

                                               = 2880m^2

Area of circular tank = Pi x r^2

                                   = 22/7 x 14^2

                                    =22/7 x 196

                                    = 616m^2

Area of remaining portion = Area of rectangle - Area of circle

                                           = 2880 - 616

                                            = 2264m^2

Rate of 50 per metre^2 = 2264 x 50

                                        = 113,200₹
