A rectangular hall 12m long and 6 m broad . it's flooring is to be made up of square tiles of side 30 CM. how many tiles will fit in the entire hall ? how many would be required if tiles of 15 CM were used

Given, length = 12m = 1200cm
breadth = 6m= 600m
The area of rectangular hall= l*b = 1200*600= 720000 sq. cm
Area of tile= side * side = 30*30= 900 sq. cm
No. of tiles required = area of hall/ area of tile =
720000/900= 800 tiles
If the side of tiles is 15 cm then
Area of tiles = 15* 15= 225 sq. cm
No. of tiles = 720000/225= 3200 tiles
