a rectangular hall is 12 m long and 6 m broad. It's flooring is to be made of square tiles of side 30 cm. However many tiles will fit in the entire hall? How many would be required if tiles of side 15 cn were used?

given height =12 and breath-6m
area- 12*6= 72 metre square
30 cm= 30/100 metre
no. of tiles = 72/0.3*0.3 = 800
if tiles of 15 centimetres should be used then
no. = 72/0.15*0.15= 3200

area of rectangle = l×b
then, 12m × 6m = 72 m square
area of square tile = side square
then, 30cm × 30cm = 900cm square
then, tiles required for flooring = 720000 ÷ 900

800 tiles
