a rectangular hall is 12 m long and 6 metre broad its flooring is to be made of square tiles of sides 30 centimetre how many tiles will fit in the entire hall question mark how many would required if tiles of sides 15 centimetre where used

1. Area of hall=12*6
= 72m²
Area of 1 tile= 0.3*0.3
= 0.09m²
No. of tiles required = area of hall/area of 1 tile
= 72/0.09
=800 tiles

2. When side of tile = 15cm =0.15m
Area = 0.15*0.15
= 0.0225
No. of tiles = 72/0.0225
= 3200
