Given:

Lenght of rectangular floor = 16m

breadth of reactangular floor = 9m

lenght of marble = 25cm

breadth of marble = 15cm

Find :

how many marble will be needed to

Area of rectangle = Lenght × breadth

Area of rectangular floor = 16 × 9 = 144 sq.m

Area of rectangular marble = 25 × 15

Area of rectangular marble = 375 sq.cm

marble needed to cover floor = Area of floor in sq.cm / Area of marble in sq.cm

1 sq.m = 10000 sq.cm

144 sq.m = 1440000 sq.cm

Marble needed to cover floor = 1440000/375

Marble needed to cover floor = 3840.
