Given :-----

  • Length of rectangular hall = 219m
  • Breadth of rectangular hall = 210m
  • Speed of horse = 2.5m/sec.

To Find :-----

  • Time taken by boy in horse , around the rectangular hall ?

Solution :------

The boy will cover distance Equal to Perimeter of rectangular hall in one round .

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(length + Breadth)

Putting values we get,

→ Perimeter of Rectangular hall = 2(219+210) = 858m

Now, speed of horse is = 2.5m/sec.

and the boy has to cover = 858 m distance ,

Now, we know that,

Time = Distance /speed

Putting values again,

Time = 858/2.5 = 343.2 seconds .

Now, we know that ,

60 seconds = 1 minutes

300 seconds = 5 minutes .

So, the boy will take 5 minutes 23.2 seconds to cover around the rectangular hall ...

\huge{\bf{\underline{\overline{\mid{Answer:-}\mid}}}}

\huge{\underline{\tt{Given:-}}}

• Length of rectangle hall= 219 m

• Breadth of rectangle hall= 210 m

• Speed of horse= 2.5 m/s

\huge{\underline{\tt{To\:Find:-}}}

• Time to cover the distance.

\huge{\underline{\tt{Solution:-}}}

We know that perimeter of rectangle= 2(length+breadth)

Perimeter of rectangular hall:-

=2(219+210)

= {\boxed{\bf{858 m}}}

Now,

speed of horse is 2.5 m/s

Distance is 858 m

As we know ,

{ \tt{ \: speed =  \frac{distance}{time} }}

 \implies \:{ \tt{ time = \frac{distance}{speed} }}

 \implies \:{ \tt{ time =  \frac{858}{2.5} }} \\  \\  \implies \: { \boxed{ \bf{time = 343.25 \: s}}}

•°• The boy takes 343.25 s to take round around the rectangular hall.
