A rectangular lawn 100m long and 70 m broad has two crossroads running in the middle of it one 2 m wide running parallel to its length and the other 5m wide running parallel to its breadth . Find the area of the lawn not covered by the crossroads

The area of the rectangle
=l*b
=100*70
=7000m sq
Area of the parallel breadth
=70*5
=350m sq
Area of the parallel length
=100*5
=200m sq
Area of middle common path
=5*2
=10m
350+200-10
=540m sq
The area of the remaining portion is
7000-540
=6460m sq is the answer ​
