Answer:

here

lenght(l)=12m

breath(b)=7m

wide(w)=2m

area of outer path=2w(l plus bplus 2w)

=2*2(12 plus 7 plus 2*2)m2

=4(19plus 7)m2

=4*26m2

==104m2

Answer:

Area of path around the lawn = 24sq.mts

Step-by-step explanation:

Rectangle:

  • Rectangle is a  2-dimensional shape in which the opposite sides are parallel and equal to each other.
  • All the four angles in rectangle are right angles.

         Given,

Length of rectangular lawn = 12m

Width of rectangular lawn = 7m

Rectangular lawn has a path of width = 2m

Width of the lawn without path = 7-2 = 5m

       Area of lawn with length 12m and width 7m = 12×7 = 84sq.mts

        Area of lawn without path = 12×5 = 60sq.mts

Area of the path around the lawn = Area of rectangular lawn - Area of lawn without path

                                                            = 84 - 60

                                                            = 24sq.mts

Hence, Area of path around the lawn = 24sq.mts
