A rectangular lawn 70 m by 50 m has two cross roads each 6 m wide running in the middle of
parallel to the length and other parallel to the breadth. Find the cost of levelling them at 5.30 per square metre.​

Answer:

area of rectangular land=l×b

= 70×50

=3500m^

area of road along length side= 70×6

=420m^

area of road along breadth side=50×6

300m^

area of road=( 3500)-420+300

=2780m^

cost of levelling them =2780×5.30

=14734 rs
