The area of the road parallel to the length of the lawn

=4m × 75m

=300m^2

The area of the road parallel to the breadth of the lawn

= 4m × 60m

= 240m^2

The overlapping area at the cross section of the roads

=4m × 4m

=16 m^2

The total area of the road

= {(300 + 240)- 16} m^2

= 524m^2

Rate of gravelling the road

= Rs. 4.5 / m^2

Total cost = Rs. ( 524 × 4.5)

= Rs. 2358
