Heya !!!

Let ABCD and EFGH are two roads.

Length of road ABCD = 75 m

And,

Breadth of road ABCD = 4 m

Area of road ABCD = (75 × 4) = 300 m².

Length of road EFGH = 60 m

And,

Breadth of road EFGH = 4 m

Therefore,

Area of road EFGH = ( 69 × 4) = 240 m².

And,

Area of square formed by the intersection of two roads = ( 4 × 4) = 16 m².

Therefore,

Area of the roads to be gravelled =

Area of road ABCD + Area of road EFGH - Area of square = 300 + 240 - 16 = 524 m².

Cost of 1 m² of gravelling = rs 45

Therefore,

Cost of 524 m² of gravelling = 45 × 524 = Rs 23580.
